Senior Electrical Engineer
A well‑established engineering consulting firm is expanding its Texas operations and seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join its growing team. The firm partners with municipalities, utilities, and private‑sector organizations to deliver innovative, dependable engineering solutions for complex infrastructure needs. The Electrical Engineer will play a key role in designing power systems for water/wastewater facilities, industrial sites, municipal buildings, and mission‑critical infrastructure.

What You'll Do
In this role, you will support a wide variety of electrical engineering projects from initial concept through final design and construction. Your responsibilities will include:
Electrical Design & Analysis
- Prepare detailed electrical design documents including plans, technical specifications, cost estimates, and supporting calculations.
- Develop designs for medium‑ and low‑voltage power distribution systems, standby power systems, lighting systems, and grounding systems.
- Perform engineering studies such as short‑circuit analysis, protective device coordination, arc‑flash studies, load flow analysis, and power quality assessments.
- Review shop drawings, equipment submittals, RFIs, and other construction‑phase documentation.
Project Execution & Collaboration
- Coordinate engineering activities with internal design disciplines including civil, mechanical, architectural, and instrumentation & controls teams.
- Participate in project team meetings, client presentations, and design reviews.
- Conduct site investigations to evaluate existing electrical infrastructure and verify field conditions prior to design.
- Provide construction support services including site visits, inspections, and punch‑list development.
Technical Leadership (Depending on Experience Level)
- Mentor junior engineers and designers by providing technical guidance and quality reviews.
- Contribute to internal standards development, process improvement, and best practices.
- Support project managers by providing accurate scope definitions, schedule updates, and budget input.
