Senior Landscape Architect
An industry leading multidisciplinary firm is seeking a skilled and driven Senior Landscape Architect to lead complex municipal and public-sector projects from concept through construction. This role provides both technical and design leadership, manages project teams, oversees budgets and schedules, and serves as a primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders. The position also plays an important role in mentoring staff, advancing design standards, and supporting the organization's long-term growth and reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of complex, high-profile municipal projects
- Review and approve design concepts, construction documents, and technical deliverables
- Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure successful delivery
- Act as the primary client liaison, presenting solutions and incorporating feedback
- Mentor and guide Landscape Architects and junior design staff
- Collaborate with engineers, planners, contractors, and regulatory agencies
- Perform site visits to support construction and maintain design intent
- Contribute to design standards, best practices, and continuous improvement efforts
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture
- Registered Landscape Architect (RLA) required (Florida preferred or obtained within 6 months)
- Minimum of 8 years of professional landscape architecture experience
- At least 3 years of team leadership or supervisory experience
- Proven experience leading municipal or public-sector projects
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD; Civil 3D or Revit experience preferred
- Proficiency in visualization tools (e.g., SketchUp, Rhino, Lumion)
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Familiarity with GIS and project management software preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills
