Overview

A well-established engineering consulting firm is seeking a Senior Project Manager (PE) to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex infrastructure and design projects. This role requires a licensed Professional Engineer with strong leadership capabilities, technical expertise, and a proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage engineering projects from inception through completion, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong and trusted relationships
  • Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering staff across multiple disciplines
  • Review and approve engineering designs, reports, and deliverables for quality and compliance
  • Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, and regulatory agencies
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Support business development efforts, including proposals, client presentations, and contract negotiations
  • Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • 6-15 years of progressive engineering and project management experience
  • Demonstrated success managing complex engineering projects and client accounts
  • Strong knowledge of design standards, permitting processes, and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in project management tools and engineering software

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in consulting engineering environments
  • Familiarity with infrastructure, transportation, land development, or related sectors
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with project budgeting
