A rapidly growing real estate development organization is seeking a Project Manager, Site Development to support the planning, design, and execution of large-scale residential development projects. This opportunity is ideal for an early-career civil engineering professional who wants to move beyond pure consulting and become directly involved in the development process.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal development teams, consultants, contractors, and municipal agencies to advance projects from acquisition through construction. This role offers significant exposure to decision-making, site selection, entitlement strategy, infrastructure design, and overall project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Manage site development activities across multiple residential development projects
  • Coordinate civil engineering consultants, surveyors, geotechnical engineers, environmental consultants, and other project stakeholders
  • Review site plans, grading plans, utility plans, and engineering reports
  • Assist with due diligence efforts for prospective acquisitions
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and key milestones
  • Support entitlement, permitting, and agency coordination efforts
  • Track consultant deliverables and ensure projects remain on schedule
  • Participate in design review meetings and value engineering discussions
  • Coordinate with construction and land acquisition teams to facilitate project success
  • Assist with managing project risks and resolving technical challenges

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Land Development, or a related field
  • 2-5 years of professional experience
  • Previous experience working for a real estate developer, homebuilder, master-planned community developer, or multifamily developer
  • Understanding of site development processes, including grading, utilities, stormwater, roadway design, and permitting
  • Strong project coordination and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities

Preferred Background

  • Residential, multifamily, mixed-use, or master-planned community development experience
  • Experience reviewing civil engineering plans and consultant deliverables
  • Exposure to land acquisition or due diligence activities
  • Familiarity with municipal approval processes and permitting
  • Experience working directly with consulting engineering firms
  • EIT certification preferred
