The Opportunity

As a Senior Power Generation Project Engineering Manager, you will:

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers and technicians
  • Manage diverse and complex engineering and EPC projects
  • Oversee design quality, budgeting, and scheduling
  • Support client engagement, proposal development, and business development efforts

The Team

This role is part of a fast‑growing, technology‑driven sector focused on advanced manufacturing, AI computing infrastructure, gigafactories, bio/ag tech, distributed systems, and data centers. The team delivers full engineering, procurement, and construction services with expertise in:

  • Substations
  • Renewable energy integration
  • HVDC, FACTS, and STATCOM
  • Data center integration
  • Battery energy storage systems (BESS)

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution

  • Produce complex engineering deliverables for major projects
  • Conduct research and develop material/equipment recommendations
  • Manage technical data and perform complex engineering calculations
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and quality expectations
  • Lead production teams and coordinate work across multiple disciplines
  • Establish project workplans

Client Interface

  • Identify client interests and priorities
  • Communicate client concerns and develop aligned solutions
  • Support business development and pursuit activities
  • Manage project changes with client interaction under PM oversight

Technical Leadership

  • Lead large multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Provide technical direction for complex power‑generation projects
  • Develop engineering solutions that support project goals

Management Responsibilities

  • Review work from junior engineers
  • Participate in hiring, performance management, and pay administration

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) license preferred
  • Experience managing EPC or design projects for gas‑turbine power facilities
  • Strong understanding of full project and facility lifecycle
  • Strong client‑facing communication skills
  • Advanced understanding of engineering standards and design guides
  • Familiarity with procurement and contract administration
  • Experience with proposal development and engineering estimating

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program
  • 11+ years of relevant experience
  • Ability to complete all required pre‑employment screenings
  • Professional registration or active pursuit of licensure

Work Environment / Physical Demands

  • Hybrid or flexible work options may be available after an initial period
  • Ability to use audio/video conferencing tools
  • Extended periods of computer work
  • Travel to client sites as needed
