Structural Department Leader

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of structural engineers and designers, providing technical guidance and career development support.
- Oversee the design and delivery of bridge and structural projects from concept through construction.
- Collaborate with internal departments, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.
- Develop and implement department goals, standards, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Review and approve engineering calculations, plans, specifications, and reports.
- Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals, client presentations, and strategic planning.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Indiana or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in bridge and structural engineering, including project management and team leadership.
- Strong knowledge of AASHTO, INDOT, and other relevant design standards and specifications.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
