Survey Manager
My client, a locally rooted and highly respected civil engineering and land development consulting firm in Boise, Idaho, is seeking a Professional Land Surveyor - Survey Manager to join their growing team. This role offers the opportunity to lead impactful surveying projects across the Treasure Valley and greater Idaho region-spanning both public infrastructure and private development sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage land surveying projects from proposal through completion, including boundary, topographic, ALTA, and construction surveys
- Supervise and mentor field crews and office staff, ensuring quality and efficiency
- Coordinate with engineers, planners, and clients to support multidisciplinary project delivery
- Prepare and review plats, legal descriptions, and survey maps in compliance with Idaho standards
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, agencies, and project stakeholders
- Oversee QA/QC processes and ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets
- Contribute to business development, proposals, and client relationship management
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Idaho PLS license (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- 7+ years of progressive land surveying experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or project management role
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and GPS/Total Station workflows
- Strong understanding of Idaho survey laws, platting processes, and public agency standards
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with subdivision design, construction staking, and right-of-way acquisition
- Familiarity with local jurisdictions including Ada County, City of Boise, and ITD
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client management skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and mentor junior staff
