Role Overview
The Tendering Manager will lead the global tendering function for international connectivity and data centre services. This strategic role is responsible for crafting and executing tender strategies that enhance commercial positioning, foster cross-functional collaboration, and secure high-value contracts with enterprise, hyperscale, and government clients. The ideal candidate will possess deep strategic insight, strong commercial acumen, and a proven track record of managing complex, multi-million-dollar bids from inception to contract award.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Tender Leadership
Lead end-to-end tendering processes for high-value opportunities across subsea and terrestrial connectivity, IP transit, SD-WAN, and data centre services including colocation, interconnect, and edge computing.
- Executive Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with senior leaders across Sales, Product, Legal, Finance, and Operations to shape bid strategies, pricing models, and commercial narratives.
- Bid Governance & Risk Management
Ensure all submissions adhere to internal governance standards, mitigate contractual and operational risks, and align with long-term business goals.
- Client-Centric Proposal Development
Oversee the creation of customized, compelling proposals that address client needs, highlight technical and commercial value, and differentiate offerings.
- Market Intelligence & Positioning
Monitor industry trends, competitor strategies, and procurement developments to inform proactive bid positioning and strategic account targeting.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in tendering, bid management, or commercial leadership within the telecoms, data centre, or ICT sectors
- Demonstrated success in leading and winning complex, multi-stakeholder bids across international markets
- Strong understanding of global connectivity infrastructure, data centre ecosystems, and enterprise procurement processes
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Familiarity with tendering platforms (e.g., Ariba, Coupa, SAP) and CRM tools is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus
