Transportation EIT
A locally owned Utah engineering firm is seeking a Transportation Engineer with a passion for designing safe, efficient, and inclusive transportation systems. This role focuses on active transportation and intersection design, supporting projects that improve mobility and safety for all users.

This role blends technical design with stakeholder coordination, offering exposure to a wide range of transportation projects across Utah. You'll work closely with local agencies, UDOT, and community partners to deliver thoughtful, context-sensitive solutions.
What You'll Do
- Design pedestrian, bicycle, and multimodal facilities including trails, crossings, and complete streets
- Lead or support intersection design projects including roundabouts, signalized intersections, and safety improvements
- Prepare PS&E packages, cost estimates, and technical reports
- Conduct traffic and safety analyses using tools like Synchro and HCS
- Collaborate with local agencies, UDOT, and community stakeholders
- Perform field reviews and support construction-phase services
What You Bring
- EIT certification (Utah or ability to obtain)
- 2+ years of experience in transportation or civil engineering
- Familiarity with active transportation and intersection design standards (NACTO, AASHTO, MUTCD)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation
- Experience with traffic analysis software (Synchro, HCS, etc.)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to designing safe, equitable, and sustainable transportation systems
