Water Treatment Project Manager
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Construction Project Manager to lead water and wastewater treatment facility projects in the Detroit area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil or environmental engineering, construction management, and regulatory compliance. This role involves overseeing all phases of construction, from pre-construction planning through project closeout, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of water and wastewater treatment construction projects.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and municipal stakeholders.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and procurement plans.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental and safety regulations.
- Conduct site inspections and quality control checks.
- Manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress reports.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve issues promptly.
- Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in construction project management, preferably in water/wastewater treatment.
- PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites in the Detroit area.
