Project Engineer - Water Infrastructure
Location: San Diego, CA (Hybrid)
A growing engineering consultancy is seeking a talented Project Engineer to join its water infrastructure team in San Diego.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys technical design work and wants to play a hands-on role in the delivery of water, wastewater, and municipal infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced project managers and technical leaders, contributing to projects from planning and design through construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare engineering designs, technical reports, calculations, and construction documents.
- Develop and modify plans, profiles, details, and exhibits using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Support the planning and design of water, wastewater, and municipal infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality projects.
- Assist with permitting, bid support, and construction-phase services.
- Participate in project meetings and technical coordination efforts.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality, schedule, and technical requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- EIT certification preferred; PE license or progression toward licensure is a plus.
- 3-8 years of consulting engineering experience.
- Strong technical design experience within water, wastewater, or municipal infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
- Experience preparing engineering plans, specifications, and technical reports.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation
$95,000 - $140,000 base salary, depending on experience, plus annual performance incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
