Water/Wastewater Project Manager

Lead Innovative Water/Wastewater Projects with a Top ENR-Ranked Firm
We are conducting a confidential search on behalf of a nationally recognized engineering firm for an experienced Project Manager to join their dynamic Water/Wastewater team. This role offers the opportunity to work on collaborative projects involving collection, conveyance, distribution, pumping, and treatment systems while contributing to initiatives that shape the future of water and wastewater infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects in accordance with scope, schedule, and budget
- Develop project-specific plans, including Project Management and Quality Management Plans
- Create and maintain project schedules
- Manage subconsultants and monitor project progress
- Identify and mitigate risks; prepare extra work order requests and task proposals
- Communicate project status to internal and external stakeholders
- Lead client presentations and status meetings
- Assist with marketing efforts, including proposals and interviews
- Mentor and coach project team members to support growth and development
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, environmental, or chemical engineering (ABET accredited)
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
- 10+ years of experience delivering water/wastewater projects from design through construction
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred:
- PMP or CAPM certification
- Experience with local municipal and state clients
- Familiarity with multiple delivery methods (Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, P3)
- Experience managing multidiscipline project teams
