Water/Wastewater Senior Project Engineer
Responsibilities
- Lead diverse design and design-build initiatives, including industrial pretreatment systems, pipelines, pumping stations, storage facilities, treatment plants, and wellhead treatment solutions.
- Provide oversight for planning, permitting, troubleshooting, and system optimization, including design-build projects.
- Review and develop technical documentation such as reports, construction drawings, and specifications.
- Perform occasional field assignments involving contractor supervision and process troubleshooting.
- Oversee recruitment, supervision, and professional development of junior team members and mid-level engineers/scientists.
- Drive business growth through client acquisition, maintaining long-term relationships, and preparing proposals with accurate cost projections.
- Coordinate and actively participate in meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure successful delivery of projects by managing timelines, budgets, subcontractor performance, quality standards, and client satisfaction.
- Engage with professional organizations at both local and national levels (e.g., ASCE, WEF, AWRA, GRA).
Qualifications
- Proven track record working with industrial and municipal clients on water supply, treatment, and reuse projects.
- 10+ years of experience
- PE Licensed in California
- Skilled in managing multidisciplinary teams and complex projects.
- Demonstrated success in client development and building a sustainable practice that supports a team of professionals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent verbal communication and technical writing abilities.
