Overview:
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead mechanical service operations across Pennsylvania and West Virginia. This leadership role encompasses both operational oversight and strategic sales development, with a focus on delivering high-quality service across maintenance, project execution, and client support. The position involves regular travel to branch offices, job sites, and customer facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for service teams across designated regions.
- Align departmental objectives with broader company goals, driving performance in revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Manage service operations within approved financial parameters, including budgeting, collections, staffing, and inventory control.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through client engagement, networking, and bid platforms.
- Promote and enforce safety standards throughout bidding and project execution phases.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
- Track progress against annual targets and adjust strategies as needed.
- Maintain compliance with contractual obligations and resolve client issues promptly.
- Develop and execute growth strategies in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Mentor and guide team members through coaching, performance planning, and goal setting.
- Foster a high-performance culture with clear metrics and accountability.
- Build and maintain a skilled and motivated team to support service delivery and business expansion.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or technical certification required; a bachelor's degree in management or mechanical engineering is preferred.
- Minimum of five years' experience in mechanical service operations, including facility management.
- At least three years in a maintenance leadership role, with exposure to preventive maintenance, energy management, and contract administration.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and industry best practices.
- Experience in sales and client development is advantageous.
- Proficiency in management systems and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and adapt to changing demands.
