About the Role
As the Director of Preconstruction, you will oversee all preconstruction activities for mission-critical projects, including data centers and other high-tech environments. You will play a pivotal role in client engagement, team leadership, and ensuring accurate cost planning and project feasibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage preconstruction services for mission-critical projects.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships; identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Mentor and develop preconstruction team members to achieve peak performance.
- Oversee design and preconstruction phases, including estimates, cost studies, and benchmarking.
- Serve as the primary client contact during preconstruction.
- Collaborate with project management teams for a smooth transition into construction.
- Support recruitment and development of top talent within the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in preconstruction, including leadership roles.
- Experience with mission-critical or data center projects is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
- Proficiency in estimating and scheduling software (e.g., Timberline, OST, P6, Bluebeam).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- High ethical standards and a collaborative approach.
