Air Quality Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced Air Quality Project Manager to lead air permitting and compliance services for clients across the power, industrial, commercial, transportation, and manufacturing sectors. This position offers challenging work with significant project variety and clear opportunities for advancement within a growing environmental practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare air permit application packages and supporting documentation.
- Conduct environmental site assessments and inspections to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal air quality regulations.
- Calculate and estimate emissions, including greenhouse gases, maintenance, start-up, and shutdown emissions.
- Manage projects, budgets, and timelines in collaboration with clients and internal teams.
- Assist with multi-media environmental documentation, such as Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans, and EPCRA filings.
- Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience; a Master's degree may substitute for 1 year of experience.
- Prior consulting experience in air pollution permitting, compliance, environmental audits, and report writing is preferred.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local air regulations, especially the Clean Air Act (including NSR/PSD, NESHAP, NSPS, Title V, and Title VI).
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
