Antitrust Economist - Managing Director
We are currently recruiting for an exceptional Managing Director to lead antitrust and competition economics engagements for a rapidly growing national consultancy based in California. This is a senior leadership opportunity for an economist with deep expertise and a proven track record in litigation support and strategic advisory.
About the Role:
Our client is a nationally recognized firm working on some of the largest and most complex cases in the industry. The Managing Director will play a critical role in shaping the firm's economic strategy across antitrust, competition, intellectual property, and damages matters. This position offers significant visibility, influence, and the opportunity to drive growth in a high-performing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead high-impact economic analyses in support of litigation and strategic advisory.
- Manage and mentor a team of economists and analysts, fostering technical excellence and professional development.
- Drive business development efforts, including client acquisition, relationship management, and revenue generation.
- Provide expert testimony and litigation support in federal and state proceedings.
- Collaborate with legal teams, corporate clients, and internal stakeholders to deliver rigorous, defensible economic insights.
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in antitrust and competition economics, with substantial exposure to intellectual property and damages analysis.
- Advanced degree required; PhD or Master's in Economics or a closely related field strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in team leadership, client development, and revenue generation within a consulting or academic setting.
- Experience working on high-profile, large-scale cases with national or international significance.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex economic concepts for diverse audiences.
