Salary: $80,000 - $100,000
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Architect to lead and support the design and delivery of institutional projects in the Charleston area. This role is ideal for a licensed architect or a professional actively pursuing licensure who is passionate about creating spaces that serve educational, civic, and public communities.
Please note: Candidates must be currently based in Charleston, SC.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architectural design and documentation for institutional projects, including educational, civic, and public facilities.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure design excellence and project alignment.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables from concept through construction administration.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and sustainability goals.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative studio culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
- Architecture license preferred (or actively pursuing licensure).
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience, with a strong portfolio of institutional projects.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other design and visualization tools.
- Strong understanding of building systems, codes, and construction processes.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
- Must be located in Charleston, SC.
