Assistant Project Manager - Data Centers

The Assistant Project Manager will support the planning, coordination, and execution of data center construction projects. This role is critical in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. The APM will work closely with the Project Manager, clients, contractors, and internal teams to manage documentation, schedules, and communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Monitor project progress and prepare regular status reports for stakeholders.
  • Support the Project Manager in managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements on-site.
  • Participate in client meetings and provide updates on project milestones and deliverables.
  • Track and manage procurement activities and inventory for critical equipment.
  • Assist in resolving issues that may impact project timelines or costs.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for project closeout and handover.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in construction project management, preferably in mission-critical or data center environments.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
