Assistant Project Manager

A leading general contractor specializing in high-quality commercial construction projects is seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager to join their growing team. This firm is known for delivering complex builds across sectors such as multifamily, mixed-use, senior living, and hospitality, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, integrity, and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Project Manager in overseeing all phases of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Assist in managing subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Coordinate project schedules, budgets, and documentation.
  • Participate in site meetings, inspections, and quality control processes.
  • Help maintain compliance with safety standards and building codes.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams.
  • Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project documentation.
  • Contribute to problem-solving and decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in commercial construction (internships or co-op experience considered).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
