Job Description: Assistant Project Manager
We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to positively impact complex construction projects at Cupertino Electric. This role involves coordination between the field team, project team, and customers, ensuring strong partnerships with vendors and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordination: Assist in reviewing and tracking project activities such as RFPs, change orders, submittals, and tracking logs.
- Team Leadership: Lead team meetings and provide guidance to Project Engineers and Project Coordinators in partnership with the Project Manager and field team.
- Scheduling: Collaborate with the scheduling department to gather necessary data for the project schedule.
- Cost Management: Identify cost impacts from RFIs, submittals, and design changes, and provide timely notifications.
- Change Orders: Price change orders promptly for project manager review.
- Documentation: Manage close-out documents and coordinate commissioning activities with third parties.
- Material Management: Ensure accurate and timely material releases in line with project documents and schedules.
Requirements:
- Strong coordination and leadership skills.
- Experience in managing project activities and documentation.
- Ability to maintain strong working relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
- Knowledge of construction scheduling and cost management.
