The firm has a multi-decade track record of deploying capital across power generation, transmission, and next-generation energy solutions, and is actively scaling its development pipeline across both conventional and renewable technologies.

They are seeking an Associate to join a high-impact team responsible for evaluating, structuring, and advancing new generation opportunities.

The Role

This individual will sit at the intersection of origination, valuation, and project development, supporting investment decision-making and competitive bid execution across a growing portfolio of power assets.

This is a highly analytical and commercially oriented role with direct exposure to senior stakeholders and live transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain financial models (NPV, IRR, cash flows, sensitivities) for new development opportunities
  • Support evaluation of new market entry strategies and development theses
  • Assist in execution of project financings and M&A transactions
  • Coordinate and develop responses to competitive RFPs and structured bidding processes
  • Contribute to bid strategy, pricing assumptions, and positioning
  • Support the structuring and negotiation of offtake agreements (e.g., PPAs or similar revenue contracts)
  • Conduct market, regulatory, and technology research (including incentives like tax credits)
  • Prepare materials for internal investment committees and senior leadership

Ideal Background

  • 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, project finance, infrastructure investing, energy development, or similar
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities (Excel-heavy role)
  • Exposure to power markets, renewables, or infrastructure preferred
  • Ability to operate across both quantitative analysis and commercial strategy
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
