Job Title: Building Automation Controls Design Engineer
Location: Remote (with occasional travel to Atlanta, GA)
Salary: $120,000 per year

Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Building Automation Controls Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting design reviews and reviewing submittals for building automation systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and compliance. This is a remote position with occasional travel to Atlanta, GA, for on-site collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and evaluate building automation system designs for functionality, compliance, and alignment with project requirements.

Ensure that design documents, specifications, and submittals meet industry standards and client expectations.

Provide feedback and recommendations on design improvements and system optimizations.

Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve design and submittal issues.

Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely and accurate submittals.

Review and approve design drawings, control sequences, equipment specifications, and other submittal documents.

Analyze and troubleshoot issues with control system integration, and work to ensure smooth project delivery.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building automation technologies, codes, and industry trends.

Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project scope is fully understood and aligned.

Requirements:

Proven experience (5+ years) in building automation system design, controls design, or a similar field.

Expertise in design review processes, submittals review, and system specifications.

Strong knowledge of building automation systems

Proficient in design software and tools (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).

In-depth understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations (ASHRAE, NEC, NFPA).

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to clients and project teams.

Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Self-starter with the ability to work remotely and autonomously.

Occasional travel to Atlanta, GA, for meetings and project reviews as needed.
