BAS International Travel Specialist
Position Overview:
The International BAS Technician is responsible for installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintaining Building Automation Systems across multiple international sites. This role requires strong technical expertise in HVAC controls, energy management systems, and integration with other building technologies. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in diverse environments, adhering to global standards, and ensuring high-quality system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation & Commissioning:
- Install BAS hardware and software, including controllers, sensors, and network devices.
- Configure and program BAS systems to meet project specifications and client requirements.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose and resolve system issues remotely and on-site.
- Perform preventive maintenance and system health checks.
Integration & Networking:
- Integrate BAS with HVAC, lighting, security, and energy management systems.
- Ensure proper communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, etc.) are implemented.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of installations, configurations, and service activities.
- Provide detailed commissioning reports and client handover documentation.
Compliance & Standards:
- Adhere to international building codes, safety regulations, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Ensure compliance with company and client quality standards.
Client & Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and local technicians.
- Provide technical training and support to clients and regional teams.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
- 3+ years in BAS installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Experience with major BAS platforms (e.g., Siemens, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Schneider).
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in BAS programming and networking.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, energy management, and IoT integration.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to travel internationally up to 70% of the time.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Multilingual skills are a plus.
