An established and growing Building Automation contractor in Chicago is looking for an experienced Sales Engineer to help expand its presence across the local market.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who understands BAS and HVAC controls and enjoys building client relationships, identifying opportunities, and developing tailored technical solutions.
The Role
- Develop new business across the Chicago Building Automation market
- Build and maintain relationships with building owners, contractors, engineers, and facility teams
- Identify client requirements and recommend suitable BAS and controls solutions
- Prepare proposals, estimates, presentations, and technical scopes
- Work closely with engineering, operations, and project management teams
- Manage opportunities throughout the full sales cycle
- Support both new construction and retrofit projects
- Represent the company at client meetings and industry events
What We're Looking For
- Previous sales experience within Building Automation, HVAC controls, DDC, or BMS
- Strong technical understanding of commercial building systems
- Experience selling service, retrofit, or construction projects
- Established relationships within the Chicago market would be highly beneficial
- Confident communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage a territory and develop long-term customer relationships
