BESS Project Developer (m/f/d) - Berlin
We are supporting a growing energy business that is building out a strong pipeline of battery storage projects across Northern Germany. They are looking for a BESS Project Developer (m/f/d) to join their Berlin office and take ownership of projects during the key development stages.
This role focuses on bringing projects from initial concept through permitting and development, up to the ready-to-build milestone.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of permitting activities for BESS projects across multiple regions
- Liaise with local authorities, regulatory bodies, and key external stakeholders
- Ensure all projects meet applicable legal, environmental, and planning standards
- Contribute to project progression from initial concept through to ready-to-build stage
- Collaborate closely with internal departments such as engineering, grid, and legal
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in BESS or renewable energy project development, particularly within permitting
- Solid knowledge of regulatory frameworks and approval processes
- Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage competing deadlines
- Proactive and independent working style, comfortable in a remote environment
- Fluency in German
