BIM Technician
Structural Technician - Hybrid Schedule
Join a collaborative, growth‑minded structural engineering team where your work directly shapes the built environment. This firm is known for its people-first culture-an environment where mentorship is prioritized, curiosity is encouraged, and every voice matters. As a Structural Technician, you will play a hands‑on role in transforming design intent into clear, precise, and buildable drawings that bring structures to life.
If you thrive in a setting where collaboration, technical rigor, and continuous learning are core values, this role is designed for you.
What You'll Do
As a Structural Technician, you'll convert project information into accurate, high-quality drawings and models using established drafting and design standards. Beyond drafting, you will increasingly develop an understanding of how buildings work-structurally and holistically-so you can contribute meaningfully to the project team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Producing drawings and building models using established production standards
- Interpreting and integrating information from architectural, MEP, and other discipline models to ensure structural requirements are fully coordinated
- Participating in field surveys, onsite observations, and data collection
- Reviewing shop drawings under the direction of engineers or designers
- Developing proficiency in analysis and production software, including Revit and AutoCAD
- Assisting with engineering and project administration tasks
- Supporting a wide range of projects, including special assignments and general office needs
You'll work closely with Structural Engineers and Designers to identify discrepancies, clarify relationships between building components, and contribute to overall project accuracy and quality.
