Role Overview
The CAD & REVIT Specialist will be responsible for producing high‑quality drawings, models, and documentation, while helping the team optimize workflows and maintain drafting standards. This individual will collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and external partners to ensure accuracy, consistency, and efficient project execution. Candidates should bring strong REVIT proficiency, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D models, drawings, and construction documents using REVIT and CAD software in alignment with project requirements and industry standards.
- Support engineers and technical staff by preparing structural, architectural, or MEP‑related documentation (depending on client team).
- Maintain and update REVIT families, templates, and internal drafting libraries to improve efficiency and standardization.
- Coordinate models with engineering, architectural, and consultant teams to ensure accuracy and resolve design discrepancies.
- Conduct model reviews to verify compliance with internal BIM/CAD standards and project specifications.
- Assist in implementing and refining workflows, BIM standards, and drafting processes across the team.
- Review construction plans, specifications, and markups to update drawings and incorporate required changes.
- Provide technical expertise to internal teams, advising on modeling techniques, design optimization, and software best practices.
Qualifications
- 3-7+ years of professional experience as a CAD Technician, REVIT Specialist, Drafter, or similar role.
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk REVIT; strong CAD knowledge also required.
- Demonstrated experience producing structural, architectural, or MEP models/drawings (sector can be tailored per client).
- Familiarity with BIM standards, drawing sets, and industry drafting conventions.
- Ability to interpret engineering sketches, calculations, and construction documents.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; comfortable supporting cross‑functional teams.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working within structural engineering, architecture, civil infrastructure, or building services environments.
- Background in model health checks, BIM coordination, or multi‑discipline plan set production.
- Experience contributing to workflow enhancements, CAD/REVIT standardization, or automation of drafting tasks.
- Associate degree in Drafting/Design Technology or related technical discipline; bachelor's preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of additional design tools (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Navisworks, Inventor, etc.) is a plus.
