My client, A well-established, multidisciplinary civil engineering firm in the Midwest, is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer in the Chicagoland area. This is an excellent opportunity to work on diverse transportation projects, lead design efforts, and fast-track your career in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead structural design for transportation projects including bridges (single and multi-span), retaining walls, box culverts, and junction chambers.
- Perform structural inspections in accordance with IDOT/AASHTO standards.
- Provide guidance, leadership, and training to engineers and technicians.
- Communicate design concepts and progress to clients and agencies such as IDOT/INDOT.
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure quality and compliance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on transportation and municipal projects.
Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering.
- 5+ years of structural design experience in transportation projects.
- Illinois S.E. license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
