Civil Lead Engineer
Position Summary
The Civil Lead will support as a subject matter expert in civil works for oil & gas and energy infrastructure projects. This role involves overseeing planning, cost control, coordination, engineering reviews, procurement, and interfacing with various stakeholders to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and allocate resources to ensure timely completion of civil works.
- Manage civil budgets, including handling EOTs, cost claims, and variation orders.
- Apply knowledge of piling, foundations, pipe racks, and building design to maintain quality and schedule adherence.
- Align project deliverables with the overall project plan, collaborating closely with construction and project management teams.
- Coordinate with engineers and QC to document changes and escalate variations to the Project Manager.
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with legal and project standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
- Oversee procurement timelines and expedite vendor deliverables.
- Develop short-term lookahead plans with site teams.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Deliver defect-free work and promote value engineering and innovation.
- Interface with clients and contractors to manage project scope and changes.
- Prepare method statements and risk assessments for installations.
- Monitor progress and performance, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Support daily reporting, planning, and timely handover of quality records.
- Foster strong relationships with site teams and client representatives.
- Uphold HSE standards and proactively mitigate risks during planning and execution.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Singapore's oil & gas, petrochemical, or energy infrastructure sectors.
- Strong understanding of engineering, procurement, project controls, and construction workflows.
