Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Contract Manager to support our EPC activities for solar power projects in Taiwan. This role is critical to ensuring contractual compliance, managing project documentation, and supporting procurement and estimation functions. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Chinese and capable of interpreting and administering local construction contracts. Prior experience in solar is not required, but a background in industrial construction or infrastructure projects is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, interpret, and administer EPC contracts and related documentation in Chinese and English.
- Support project teams in contractual compliance, risk identification, and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with procurement and estimation teams to ensure alignment with contract terms and project budgets.
- Assist in tendering processes, including preparation of bill of quantities, pricing analysis, and vendor quotations.
- Maintain contract records and ensure timely updates for permits, renewals, and reporting to relevant authorities.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure smooth execution of contractual obligations.
- Provide input on contract strategy and support negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors.
Qualifications:
- Fluent in Chinese (written and spoken); proficiency in English preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in contract management, procurement, or project estimation within construction or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong understanding of Taiwanese construction regulations and contract structures.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience with EPC contracts is a plus.
Preferred Background:
- Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Experience in industrial or energy-related projects (solar experience is a bonus but not required).
- Familiarity with budgeting, cost estimation, and tendering processes.
Additional Information:
- This is a local hire position; candidates must be legally eligible to work in Taiwan.
