About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Building Automation Systems (BAS) Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of commercial building controls projects from kickoff through closeout. This is an office-focused position responsible for managing project schedules, financial performance, subcontractors, procurement, and client relationships while coordinating field teams and technical resources.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC controls, building automation systems, and project management, with experience overseeing projects involving platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Distech, Johnson Controls Metasys, Siemens Desigo, Alerton, Schneider Electric, or Automated Logic. This description is aligned with responsibilities commonly found in BAS project delivery roles identified in internal resumes and project management documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of BAS projects from handover through commissioning and closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and resource plans.
• Coordinate field technicians, programmers, subcontractors, and commissioning teams.
• Review project specifications, drawings, sequences of operation, and contract documents.
• Oversee submittals, RFIs, change orders, purchase orders, and project documentation.
• Track project costs, billing milestones, and financial performance to ensure profitability.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and general contractors throughout project execution.
• Lead project meetings with customers, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Support commissioning activities, owner training, and final project turnover.
• Identify project risks and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule and budget performance.
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards and customer requirements.

Preferred Experience

• 5+ years of Building Automation, HVAC Controls, or Energy Management experience.
• 2+ years of project management experience within the BAS industry.
• Understanding ofHVAC equipment including:
  • AHUs
  • RTUs
  • Chillers
  • Boilers
  • VAV Systems
  • Pumps and VFDs
• Experience managing projects valued between $100K and $5M+.
• Familiarity withBAS platforms such as:
  • Tridium Niagara
  • Distech Controls
  • Johnson Controls Metasys
  • Siemens Desigo
  • Schneider EcoStruxure
  • Automated Logic
• Strong knowledge of scheduling, procurement, change management, and project financials.
• Ability to read construction drawings, control submittals, and wiring diagrams.
