Building Automation Engineer

Location: Fully Remote (U.S. based)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Building Automation Engineer to join our remote team. This position focuses on designing, programming, and commissioning Delta Controls building automation systems for commercial and institutional projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in HVAC controls and building automation, combined with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, program, and commission Delta Controls building automation systems.
  • Develop control sequences and ensure proper integration with HVAC and other building systems.
  • Perform remote diagnostics, troubleshooting, and system optimization.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliver projects on time and within scope.
  • Prepare documentation, including control drawings, point lists, and programming logic.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, cybersecurity protocols, and energy efficiency guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in building automation engineering, with hands-on experience in Delta Controls systems.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Delta Controls programming and commissioning tools.
    • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, networking protocols (BACnet/IP), and integration with third-party systems.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Building Automation, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple remote projects.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Delta Controls certifications (e.g., ORCAview, enteliWEB).
  • Experience with energy management and sustainability practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based building automation platforms and remote monitoring tools.
