Position Overview

This role provides the opportunity to contribute to and guide project teams in the design, modification, and upgrade of electrical systems for new and existing power generation facilities. Working under the direction of an Electrical Project Lead, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams to develop project documentation, including:

  • Single-line diagrams

  • Relay and metering diagrams

  • AC/DC schematics

  • Synchronizing diagrams

  • Point‑to‑point wiring diagrams

You will prepare detailed electrical wiring drawings and integrate vendor documentation into the overall project design. The role may also involve participating in site walkdowns and collecting field data at client locations.


Qualifications

Required

  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

  • Associate degree in drafting or a high school diploma with equivalent technical design experience.

  • Experience using Bentley Raceway & Cable Management (BRCM).

  • 6+ years of detailed electrical wiring design, including single-line, relay, and metering diagrams for medium‑voltage and 480V systems.

  • Familiarity with digital control systems.

  • Ability to:

    • Produce wiring diagrams and schematics for field installation teams.

    • Support engineers in early‑stage design development.

    • Interpret and communicate wiring termination requirements.

  • Extensive experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD on power generation or large industrial projects.

  • Strong understanding of drafting and design standards and practices.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and design professionals across multiple disciplines.

Compensation

Salary range: $60,000 - $115,000
Total compensation may include base pay, annual discretionary bonuses, and benefits. Compensation ranges are provided in accordance with applicable state and local requirements.

This role supports a business unit focused on engineering services for power generation, industrial facilities, and environmental compliance projects. The team delivers solutions for new plant designs, system upgrades, and facility improvements. Areas of expertise include conventional and renewable energy technologies, combined‑cycle power systems, carbon capture, hydrogen power, photovoltaic (PV) solar engineering, and energy storage integration. The group supports projects from early conceptual studies through full‑scale implementation.
