About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical/RCDD Engineer to join a multidisciplinary design team. This role involves designing electrical and low-voltage systems, producing construction drawings, and consulting on complex projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, innovative, and committed to excellence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design process from concept to completion, ensuring quality, compliance, and timely delivery.
  • Develop electrical and ICT system specifications, including material requirements and installation methods.
  • Design electrical and telecom systems for healthcare facilities, including emergency power systems (generators, UPS, transfer switches).
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA 70, NFPA 72, ANSI/TIA standards, and local codes.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines for integrated building design.
  • Mentor junior engineers and designers, providing guidance and feedback.
  • Apply knowledge of power distribution, three-phase systems, short circuit calculations, and breaker coordination.
  • Stay current with industry trends and foster continuous improvement within the team.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 6 years in A/E industry (plus 2 years licensed), healthcare experience preferred.
  • Licenses: Current PE license required; NCEES registration, RCDD, LEED, CEM, or LC preferred.
  • Skills: Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, MS Office Suite.
  • Travel: Up to 20% depending on project.
