We are seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Team Lead to join our Cleveland/Wadsworth office, specifically within our industrial sector for water and wastewater projects.


Job Description:

As an Electrical Team Lead, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the electrical design and engineering efforts for industrial water and wastewater treatment projects. You will lead a team of engineers while working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that electrical systems are efficiently designed and implemented in compliance with industry standards. Your role will also include project management, client interaction, and providing technical expertise throughout the lifecycle of the projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage electrical engineering design for industrial water and wastewater treatment projects, including power distribution, lighting, control systems, instrumentation, and emergency power systems.
  • Perform detailed electrical calculations and system analysis, including load calculations, voltage drop, fault current analysis, and coordination studies.
  • Develop and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and construction documents, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards.
  • Oversee and mentor a team of electrical engineers, providing guidance and ensuring quality control in the design process.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other engineering disciplines, clients, and project teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
  • Act as the primary technical liaison for clients, providing regular updates and ensuring all project requirements are met.
  • Provide leadership during the construction phase, including site inspections, resolving RFIs (requests for information), and ensuring electrical systems are installed correctly.
  • Assist in the preparation of project proposals, including cost estimates, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure all designs meet regulatory requirements and industry standards, including NEC, NFPA, and other applicable guidelines.
  • Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and evolving codes and standards.
  • Contribute to the professional development of junior engineers and foster a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a strong background in industrial water and wastewater projects.
  • Proven experience in leading teams and managing complex projects.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools).
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, etc.) and their application in industrial projects.
  • Experience in designing electrical systems for industrial environments, particularly water and wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and client management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • LEED accreditation or experience with sustainable design practices is a plus but not required.
