Heavy Civil / DOT Estimator (Englewood, CO)
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Civil / DOT Estimator with experience in transportation and infrastructure projects to join our team in Englewood, Colorado. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is comfortable estimating a wide range of CDOT and municipal work, including bridges, highways, and concrete paving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed, accurate estimates for heavy civil and DOT projects.
- Interpret plans, specifications, and project documents for bid preparation.
- Perform quantity takeoffs for bridges, roadway construction, earthwork, concrete paving, and related scopes.
- Solicit, analyze, and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes.
- Work closely with project managers and leadership to develop winning bid strategies.
- Assist in value engineering, cost analysis, and schedule review during preconstruction.
What We're Looking For:
- 2-8 years of experience estimating heavy civil, DOT, or transportation projects.
- Strong understanding of bridge construction, highway work, and concrete paving.
- Familiarity with CDOT standards, specs, and bid requirements.
- Proficiency with estimating software and digital takeoff tools.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Compensation:
- Competitive salary range: $100,000 - $150,000, depending on experience.
