Federal Quality Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the lead quality representative for one or more projects, overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and control
- Train and mentor project staff on quality procedures and standards
- Manage quality-related processes including work planning, material handling, incident reporting, and inspections
- Track and analyze performance metrics and quality incident reports to drive improvements
- Conduct audits and evaluations of project quality programs, providing feedback to leadership
- Coordinate inspections and testing with internal teams, consultants, labs, and clients
- Develop and implement project-specific inspection and testing plans
- Review material specifications and support specialized quality elements such as concrete mix designs and thermal control
- Lead risk management efforts to improve efficiency and reduce exposure
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and design partners to support collaboration and issue resolution
- Support safety initiatives to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Monitor quality-related costs and provide feedback to optimize budgets and reduce rework
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or construction (preferred), or equivalent experience with relevant certifications (e.g., ICC, NICET)
- Certification in Construction Quality Management from USACE/NAVFAC/NRC is preferred but not mandatory
- Industry certifications for inspection and testing as required
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in architecture, engineering, or construction, with at least 3 years in a quality-focused role
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and time management skills
- Familiarity with relevant standards, specifications, and industry publications
