Field Engineer (Heavy Civil)

Location: Springfield, OR

Salary: $80,000- $110,000

Job Description: This firm is a leading Heavy Civil General Contractor, seeking a dedicated and experienced Field Engineer to join their team in Springfield, OR. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage and oversee construction projects in the field. As a Field Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful completion of their heavy civil projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather necessary data for project planning.
  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of heavy civil infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in the field.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation of project progress and outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

Experience Needed:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a field engineering role within the heavy civil construction industry.
  • Proven track record of managing heavy civil projects from inception to completion.
  • Experience with site surveys, data collection, and analysis.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard engineering software and tools.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices.

Qualifications Needed:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel to various project sites as needed.
