We are currently working closely with a leading water treatment company who are expanding the team in New Zealand and looking for a Field Service Technician to be based in their Auckland office. This is an exciting chance to be a part of a leading global organisation and to learn from senior engineers in the team.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Field Service Engineer with an electrical trade background to join our Auckland team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in electrical systems and a strong understanding of water treatment processes. This role involves installing, commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting water treatment equipment at client sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, commissioning, and maintenance of water treatment systems and associated electrical components.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues on-site.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
- Provide technical support and training to clients on equipment operation and safety.
- Maintain accurate service records and prepare detailed reports.
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and relevant regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Electrical trade qualification (NZ-recognized).
- Proven experience in electrical systems; water treatment experience highly desirable.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Full NZ driver's license and willingness to travel within the region.
