The Opportunity
To support continued growth in Florida, the firm is seeking a Forensic Structural Engineer to take on a regional leadership role based in Tampa. Key Responsibilities
Conduct forensic investigations of buildings and structures affected by natural disasters, structural failures, or construction defects
Document conditions and determine causation using engineering principles and on-site observations
Produce clear, defensible engineering reports and, when required, provide expert testimony
Collaborate with clients, legal teams, insurance professionals, and other consultants
Support regional project coordination and contribute to the firm's reputation for excellence
Ideal Candidate Profile
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Florida (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
Minimum of 5 years' experience in structural engineering; forensic experience is a strong plus
In-depth knowledge of construction methods, building materials, and codes
Strong written communication skills, including technical report writing
Comfortable with regional travel and field investigations
