A growing, Women-Owned MEP engineering firm is seeking a Mid-Level HVAC/Plumbing Engineer to support ongoing projects across commercial, government, and private sectors. Responsibilities
- Design and draft HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems using AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Perform engineering calculations and develop designs in accordance with applicable codes and standards
- Coordinate with electrical, structural, civil, and architectural disciplines
- Assist in the preparation of construction documents, plans, and specifications
- Support layout and design of systems including ductwork, piping, and equipment placement to avoid conflicts
- Conduct field visits, site surveys, and assessments as needed
- Provide construction support including RFI responses, submittal reviews, and punch list assistance
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Mechanical Design/CAD or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 2 years of relevant HVAC, plumbing, or fire protection design experience
- Knowledge of applicable building codes and industry standards
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Experience with Trane Trace, Elite Fire, or Energy Gauge is a plus
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to manage deadlines and produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
- Must reside in Florida
