The Role
As a Geo-Structural Design Engineer, you will play a key role in developing best-value solutions for complex geotechnical projects, combining strong technical design with practical construction insight.
You'll work alongside experienced engineers and construction teams on a wide range of projects, continuously developing your technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver design solutions for complex geotechnical projects
- Prepare detailed design drawings for construction
- Provide technical support to the estimating team
- Collaborate closely with engineering and construction teams to ensure efficient, buildable solutions
- Contribute to innovative approaches across multiple ground engineering techniques
Projects typically include:
- Deep foundation systems
- Earth retention systems
- Ground improvement works
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (required)
- Master's degree preferred
Experience
- 7-10+ years of geotechnical and/or geo-structural design experience
- Strong experience with excavation support systems is highly preferred
- Structural engineering exposure is beneficial but not essential
Certifications
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), or ability to obtain within 12 months
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of geotechnical engineering principles
- Proficiency in Excel
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Experience with industry software such as:
- Settle3D
- L-PILE
- GeoStudio
- PLAXIS
- DeepEx
