About the Role
As a Geotechnical Practice Leader, you will play a key role in managing client relationships, providing technical leadership, and overseeing project delivery. Responsibilities include preparing technical reports, specifications, and plans; designing foundations, retaining walls, and other geotechnical elements; and mentoring staff. You will also support business development efforts and collaborate with industry leaders in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead client engagement and business development initiatives.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and geotechnical recommendations.
- Manage proposals, budgets, schedules, and project timelines.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to staff.
- Support excavation designs and advanced geotechnical analyses (e.g., Plaxis 3D).
- Ensure quality and compliance across multiple projects.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering (with a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related field).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- 10+ years of geotechnical experience, including investigations and construction inspections.
- Strong background in earthwork, pile construction, load testing, retaining wall design, and excavation support systems.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., gINT, Slide/SLOPE/W, PLAXIS, LPILE).
- Excellent communication, analytical, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Some field work required; valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
