Job Title: Group Manager - Compliance & Project Delivery

Role Purpose
The Group Manager - Compliance & Project Delivery is responsible for leading compliance outcomes across electrical and telecommunications projects, ensuring adherence to network standards, safety obligations, and regulatory requirements. The role provides strategic and operational leadership to project teams, oversees critical milestones such as Statements of Compliance (SOC) and Practical Completion Notices (PCN), and ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance & Governance
- Lead and oversee compliance activities across all projects in line with network, regulatory, and OH&S requirements
- Ensure consistent achievement of SOC and PCN milestones
- Maintain and enhance compliance frameworks, systems, and audit processes
- Provide authoritative technical and regulatory advice to internal teams
Project & Operational Leadership
- Oversee project planning, resourcing, scheduling, and milestone tracking
- Monitor budgets, forecast costs, and manage variances
- Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies
- Lead issue escalation and resolution to protect delivery outcomes
People Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary design and delivery teams
- Conduct regular team meetings, one‑on‑ones, and performance reviews
- Foster a high‑performance, safety‑focused, and collaborative culture
Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with utilities, developers, contractors, councils, and consultants
- Act as a senior point of contact for compliance and delivery matters
- Ensure proactive, transparent communication with internal and external stakeholders
Continuous Improvement & Growth
- Drive process improvement initiatives across compliance and delivery functions
- Support business growth through technical leadership and market engagement
- Contribute to strategic planning, forecasting, and revenue initiatives
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Essential
- Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical infrastructure project delivery and/or compliance
- Strong knowledge of Victorian electricity industry standards and regulatory frameworks
- Demonstrated experience managing SOC and PCN outcomes
- Proven leadership experience managing technical or project teams
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Current Victorian Driver's Licence
Desirable
- Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or Project Management
- PM2 or equivalent accreditation
- Experience with utility design software, CAD tools, and project management systems
