An established civil contractor in the Wilmington, DE area is seeking an experienced Site Development Estimator to support bidding and preconstruction efforts for full site development packages.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed estimates for earthwork, utilities, stormwater, paving, and complete site packages.
- Review drawings, specs, and reports to determine accurate quantities and scope.
- Perform digital takeoffs and evaluate subcontractor/supplier pricing.
- Maintain cost data and participate in bid reviews and handoffs.
- Collaborate with project teams and develop strong industry relationships.
Qualifications
- 3-7+ years of estimating experience in site development or heavy civil.
- Strong understanding of civil plans and production rates.
- Proficiency with takeoff/estimating software (Agtek, HCSS, Bluebeam, etc.).
- Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills.
- Degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred but optional.
