A well‑established heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee infrastructure and site development projects in the Baltimore area. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in sitework, utilities, and roadway construction who can drive projects from preconstruction through completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage heavy civil/site development projects from start to finish
- Oversee budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and procurement
- Coordinate closely with Superintendents and field teams to ensure successful execution
- Track project costs, change orders, and overall financial performance
- Ensure compliance with contract documents, plans, and specifications
- Interface with clients, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors
- Identify risks and implement solutions to keep projects on track
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager in heavy civil construction
- Strong background in sitework, grading, and underground utilities
- Roadway or paving experience is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret civil plans and specifications
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Proficiency with construction management software and project controls
