We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join a reputable heavy civil contractor specializing in large-scale earthwork and utility projects. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a family-owned company that values integrity, teamwork, and long-term relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed earthwork takeoffs and cost estimates for heavy civil projects
- Estimate wet utilities, including storm drainage, water, and sewer systems
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and subcontractor quotes to ensure accurate pricing
- Utilize estimating software (AGTEK preferred) for takeoffs and calculations
- Collaborate with project managers and field teams to develop competitive bids
- Maintain accurate records of estimates and assist in bid reviews
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in heavy civil estimating
- Strong knowledge of earthwork and wet utility construction
- Proficiency in AGTEK or similar estimating software
- Ability to read and interpret civil plans and specifications
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
