About the Opportunity

A well-established and growing real estate development and construction firm based in New Jersey is seeking a highly capable Project Manager to lead the construction of warehouses, manufacturing plants, and other light industrial facilities. This role is central to the firm's design/build delivery model and offers the opportunity to work on impactful, large-scale industrial projects across the region.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of industrial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Collaborate with internal design teams and external consultants to ensure seamless integration of design and construction.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and procurement plans.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Oversee site operations, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Manage subcontractor performance, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, resolving issues proactively to maintain project momentum.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience managing industrial or commercial construction projects.
  • Demonstrated success in design/build project delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB) and tilt-up construction.
  • Familiarity with New Jersey construction regulations and permitting processes.
  • Background in sustainable building practices and LEED certification is advantageous.
