About the Opportunity
A well-established and growing real estate development and construction firm based in New Jersey is seeking a highly capable Project Manager to lead the construction of warehouses, manufacturing plants, and other light industrial facilities. This role is central to the firm's design/build delivery model and offers the opportunity to work on impactful, large-scale industrial projects across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of industrial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
- Collaborate with internal design teams and external consultants to ensure seamless integration of design and construction.
- Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and procurement plans.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Oversee site operations, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Manage subcontractor performance, change orders, and project documentation.
- Identify and mitigate risks, resolving issues proactively to maintain project momentum.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- 5-10 years of experience managing industrial or commercial construction projects.
- Demonstrated success in design/build project delivery.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB) and tilt-up construction.
- Familiarity with New Jersey construction regulations and permitting processes.
- Background in sustainable building practices and LEED certification is advantageous.
