Key Responsibilities
- Prepare conceptual, preliminary, and final site design plans for commercial, institutional, and public projects
- Develop grading, drainage, utility, and stormwater management designs in accordance with local and state standards
- Prepare and review construction documents, technical specifications, cost estimates, and permit applications
- Develop erosion control and regulatory compliance plans in accordance with IDEM and municipal requirements
- Coordinate design activities with internal disciplines, subconsultants, and clients
- Provide technical support during permitting and construction administration phases
- Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and review agencies
- Mentor and assist junior engineers and CAD designers to ensure quality and consistency
- Perform other related duties as needed
Expected Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE required)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, but not required
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in civil site design and/or municipal infrastructure
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design software
- Working knowledge of IDEM, DOT, and local stormwater and utility standards
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
